Some of the earliest examples of the Dodge Durango Special Service are already being delivered and hitting the street. You heard it here first— these are going to the Union Pacific Railroad Police.
The trucks are being upfitted outside Chicago with Code 3 lightbars and Setina push bumpers, among other cop gear. They’re all wheel drive and powered by the Pentastar V6.

Go figure. The Nitro is scheduled to go belly-up, and now people want them! Figure it out Chrysler, when the Jeep Liberty gets its redesign, keep the Nitro around with it! Great little trucklet! Once again, keep it around or bring it back after a short hiatus.
September 1, 2011 , Auburn Hills, Mich. – The Dodge brand is extending production of the 2011 Nitro through December of 2011 to meet a burst in customer demand. Through the first seven months of 2011, Nitro sales are up 24 percent compared with the same period in 2010, and the brand is planning to meet customer demand ahead of the vehicles previously scheduled phase out.
